Dane Simpson has more presence in his pinky finger than most of us could ever dream of.
Simply a delight to behold, the comic hailing all the way from Wagga Wagga is instantly affable with an infectious energy that fills the room.
Didgeridoozy is equal parts educational and side-splitting, as Simpson weaves tales of his experiences in his home town and the quirky characters he’s met along the way, with hilarious impressions of his dad and clever observational gags.
His tone is spot-on, making it clear when to laugh and when to sit back and soak in titbits of information about his Indigenous heritage and the significance of the didgeridoo.
A brilliant musical number with a little help from the crowd ends the show on a high note.
Despite the fact that we were all wearing masks, there’s no doubt each and every audience member left smiling.
For a performance with heart from a talent like no other, make sure you get along.
