There’s very little business, just a whole lot of pleasure as comedic couple Anne Edmonds and Lloyd Langford share the stage.

The real-life couple decided that spending 24/7 in lockdown together for 112-days in Melbourne wasn’t enough, and is now touring Australia together. Fortunately, they haven’t broken up. Edmonds jokes she’ll just switch in any number of Australia’s top male comedians if it happens.

The 6.30pm crowd is not quite as loose as the pair are used to. Both commenting it’s unusual, and a little off-putting, to see people’s faces. They slowly, but surely, win over the audience with their contrasting styles.

Edmonds starts and traverses the Spiegeltent stage as she hilariously recounts her time with Langford in lockdown. He’ll occasionally duck his head out sidestage and heckle. Her recounting of her time on the failed reality TV Dirty Dancing once-off has us all in absolute tears.

Langford is much calmer. The Welsh man – and he tells us his accent is quite limiting, he can’t rap for instance – has bags full of one liners and great interaction with the crowd. Edmonds giving as good as he gave, equally heckling him from side stage.

The Q+A Session at the end, with the couple back bantering together gives us a sneak peek as to what life might just be like in their one-bedroom apartment.

To be honest, there’s very little business, just a whole lot of pleasure.
