Have you ever seen a performer and wondered why they are not more popular? That’s how I felt while watching Pat McCaffrie’s newest endeavour.
Off the back of writing four seasons of Shaun Micallef’s popular TV show Mad as Hell, McCaffrie returns to the Fringe to cast a satirical eye over Australia’s political landscape.
And boy is it refreshing! For a start, he didn’t perform second-rate Covid commentary like many comedians of late.
Instead he sheds valuable insight into our political reality in a charming, factual yet hilarious manner. His jokes were humanising, honest and relatable.
He makes sense of the nonsense that fuels the political ecosystem.
Let it be known that McCaffrie is brilliant and will be one to keep watching for years to come.
