Queensland livestock farm Listowel Downs sells for more than $12 million
A well-known Queensland livestock property has sold for more than $12 million. This is how the online auction unfolded and where bidding started.
A WELL-KNOWN beef and sheep farm in Queensland has sold for more than $12 million after it went under the hammer online.
Listowel Downs, near Blackall, was snapped up by negotiation after the online auction for more than $12.6 million.
The 26,512ha property, which has organic accreditation and was sold by fund manager Sustainable Land Management Partners, was reportedly purchased by a grazier from North Queensland.
It has a carrying capacity of 3500 to 4000 cattle or 20,000 to 25,000 sheep.
Listowel Downs was sold via online auction platform soldonline.com.au
The auction ran for 24 hours and bidding kicked off at $11.8 million and topped at $12.6 million.
The property was marketed by Colliers International’s Rawdon Briggs and Trenton Hindman.
