Australia’s ultimate festival on wheels the Red CentreNATS returns later this year promising more horsepower, entertainment and mullets than ever before.

This year’s event will transform the Lasseters Centre of Excellence and the Alice Springs Convention Centre into a premium area packed with elite vehicle and entertainment from September 5-7.

The new Lasseters precinct will be a hive of activity across the three day festival of wheels showcasing some of the best cars and bikes from across the country.

Fans can also look forward to the Show N Shine, Motorkhana, and the highly anticipated return of Mulletfest as well as live music, tattoo competitions and show rides.

Blatherskite Park remains the place to form up for the iconic Yeperenye Street Parade and The National Road Transport Hall of Fame will host a new purpose-built dirt drag strip.

The Alice Springs Inland Dragway will host the Summernats Pro Burnout Series, a thrilling Top Doorslammer Family Feud, and the debut of roll racing.

And if that wasn’t enough there will be fireworks and the FMX HighAir will join the line-up for the first time, promising jaw-dropping freestyle motocross stunts.

Spectator tickets are now on sale, with early bird prices offering 50 per cent off for a limited time, starting from just $7.50 per day (plus booking fees) and children 12 and under enjoying free entry.

Entries are still open and include access to all venues, plus event passes for entrants and a guest for just $105.

NT Major Events Company Executive Director Aimee Luxton said the 11th iteration would be bigger and better than ever before.

“It is exciting to see this year’s program, the brand-new central hub. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind event that gets pulses racing year after year,” she said.

“For visitors there is so much on offer to make the most of their time in this stunning destination from road trips to secluded waterholes, challenging 4WD tracks, and breathtaking landscapes.

“Beyond the roar of engines, travellers from interstate have an unparalleled opportunity to explore iconic sites like Uluru and Kata Tjuta, visit attractions and enjoy unique experiences.”

Summernats chief executive Andy Lopez he couldn’t wait to see Alice Springs packed with incredible cars, awesome bikes, and vibrant entertainment in every corner.

“Red CentreNATS has grown exponentially – this year we are turning up the dial to incorporate the indoor exhibition spaces offered by Lasseters to expand the program for everyone,” he said.
