$3m out-of-town masterpiece hits Clarence Valley market
Where can you find immaculate river views, a house that took more than 18 months of precise building and room to keep the horses? Take a look at this once-in-a-lifetime property now on the market
Plenty of high-end property is marketed as rare, or once in a lifetime, but where could you find stunning water views, with more than a hectare to put your horse?
It’s not Byron’s hinterland, or even in the outskirts of Yamba.
It sits down the end of Old Ferry Road at Ashby, and it’s on the market waiting for its next owner.
“It’s pretty special,” First National Yamba agent Jo Boxsell said.
“It’s getting attention from all over, from the cities and the other areas like the Byron crowd.”
Ms Boxsell, along with selling agent Richard Hunt said the property, which they have listed between $2.8m-$3m has magnificent pictures, but even they don’t do it justice.
“It’s one of those thing everyone is blown away by, you have to see it in person,” Ms Boxsell said.
They aren’t the only ones impressed. Designer and renowned architect Paul Witzig is quoted as saying the design was a special project where all the planets aligned.
“A breathtaking site with steep topography, bathed in panoramic views of nearby water and dividing range beyond and with a creek and dams running from top to bottom of the allotment,” he said.
“This perfect site was married to bold and committed clients who were prepared to do whatever was required to create a home that makes everything and more of its position with views from every room. Challenging to build, the result is well worth the endeavour.”
Ms Boxsell said the house, which took the original owners more than 18 months to build and more than $2m in cost could come on the market once-in-a-lifetime.
And with the high-end market still enthusiastic about property in the area pushing prices past $5m, it could turn out to be our area’s biggest bargain.
“This is simply a truly inspiring piece of real estate,” Ms Boxsell said.
