The light of Yamba’s real estate beacon is shining brighter than ever with a record sale price achieved for one of its prestige riverfront properties.
The property at 40 Palm Terrace in Yamba was settled recently for $4.6 million, and LJ Hooker Yamba licensee Kieran Mulvihill said it was a reflection of the quality of the house, as well as the real estate market.
“The market is pretty strong at the moment,” he said.
“A buyer from the Gold Coast has bought it, and again that reflects the fact that people are not necessarily buying in Byron, but spending it here instead.”
The 2182 sqm property with a custom designed two storey residence of approximately 870 sqm includes an extensive home automation system, lap pool as well as unparalleled views of Oyster Channel, an estuary of the Clarence River in northern NSW.
Mr Mulvihill said the new owners planned to use the property as a home for several months of the year, and were very happy with the sale.
He said that the strong market had many property owners in the area realising the potential that could be in their own holding.
“The more blue chip end of the market is seeing that potential they’ve always had, but it wasn’t realised due to the current conditions of the market,” he said.
