Merino wethers stolen from Bombala

Police are investigating the theft of 200 Merino wethers from Bombala in NSW.

Police are seeking information from the public to help locate 200 Merino wethers reported stolen from Bombala in NSW.

The wethers were reported missing from a rural property on Delegate Rd, Bombala.

Rural Crime Investigators from the Monaro Police District believe the wethers went missing late last year, between Thursday, September 1 and Monday, December 5.

The mulesed wethers have green and orange National Livestock Identification Scheme tags, NB060533.

Meanwhile, Rural Crime Investigators are also seeking information regarding the theft of 33 Aussie White ewes from a Wagga Wagga property.

NSW Rural Crime Investigator Detective Senior Constable Paul Clancy described the recent theft as “opportunistic.”

He said recent flooding had hit the Moorong area near Wagga Wagga, where the ewes went missing.
