Police investigate separate incidences of stolen grain and sheep
Rural crime investigators are appealing for information about wheat theft, while ewes have been reported stolen near Cooma.
Police are investigating the theft of stolen ewes and grain in two separate incidents.
Rural crime investigators from the Monaro Police District are appealing for information to help investigate the theft of 53 Merino hogget ewes, located on Kosciuszko Road at Avonside.
Police say the sheep were stolen between September 2022 and December 2022.
The ewes have a yellow National Livestock Identification Scheme tag labelled Romani and NH630488.
They also have a white management tag in the right ear, and were branded with a triangle earmark cut out of the bottom of the right ear. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Rural Crime Investigator Detective Senior Constable Archie French on 0427 993 314.
Meanwhile, the Hume Police District is investigating the theft of wheat from a property near Wirrinya in NSW.
Police with the Rural Crime Investigation Unit in NSW say 30 tonnes of wheat was stolen from a rural property on Wirrinya Road between Thursday, January 12 and Friday, January 20. 2023.
