Taking over yet another corner of Greville Street, Entrecôte’s little sister bar, Gigi, is the flirty French salon that the South was missing. Relic lamps light up the stairway upon arrival and every piece of decor, from the crystal chandeliers to the velvet club chairs, draws you further from Prahran and closer to Paris.

The menu sees Aussie finger foods reimagined with French flair. Think beef burgundy party pies, prawn cocktails with Marie Rose mousseline and caramelised French onion dip surrounded by a halo of crisps. If you’ve missed out at Entrecôte, you can also find the famed cheeseburger here, complete with melty Emmental cheese and crisp, cool lettuce.

A Euro-leaning wine list is complemented by playful cocktails. The signature ‘Gigi’, spiked with green pea syrup and elderflower, is a light, refreshing way to sneak in another vegetable for the day.
