The Boathouse
Seafood$$
This breezy cafe stretches its decks out over the water and displays beautiful designer touches. Order from the oversized blackboards, pay at the counter, then find a perch among the share tables and candy-striped stools. Breakfasts are a favourite, with green eggs exhaling pungent pesto and croissant French toast weighted down with dollops of mascarpone. Seafood lunches reel them in too, with champagne and shallot oysters, or Sichuan salt-and-pepper squid washed down with bubbles. Bedlam can descend on weekends, but it's a delightful chaos.
