Fruit punches can be all too sensible and civilised. Yet they don't have to be dull and predictable. Be a little unusual. Go a little tropical. Buy the freshest, juiciest, most sunburnt fruits and mix or blend.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • 1 cup grapefruit juice

  • 1 mango, peeled and sliced

  • 1/2 yellow papaya, cut into cubes

  • 1 cup crushed ice

  • fresh mint leaves

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the juices, drop in the fresh sliced fruit and chill in the fridge for an hour.

    Serve in chilled punch bowls, with a spoon, over a mountain of crushed ice and decorated with mint leaves.
