Tasmanians highlighted care, patience and respect as the three traits they look for when looking for someone to care for their family.

This comes at a time when it’s never been so important to be mindful of health, and have a good relationship with a health professional.

Many people who have chronic illnesses, or have been seeing the same doctor for 20 years and felt their GP deserved a nomination.

Others said how their doctor was amazing with kids or fussy partners, and they wouldn’t go anywhere else.

And for some others a cheeky joke while having a check up was most important.

Whether you’re looking for a new doctor, or you want to show your GP you care check out the poll below and cast a vote.
