ALL Aerobics Fitness co-owner Guy Franklin says he is thrilled his loyal gym junkies have supported him, after his business was voted the state’s best gym in a Mercury poll.
“It’s great to be recognised, it’s humbling and flattering,” he said.
“We’ve been operating for 30 years, so we’re most likely Tassie’s longest-running gym.
“We’ve got a lot of long-term members and we’ve changed with the times to cater for members’ long term outcomes.”

All Aerobics has a new purpose-built city location and is about to introduce a pilates studio.
Mr Franklin said the gym focused on group sessions and culture.
“You find when people are interacting and it’s fun then it becomes their lifestyle and people feel good and get results so it’s something they stick to.”
The gym normally has about 1200 members but is currently 75 per cent down since the COVID-19 shutdown.
“But people are starting to get back into it.
“During lockdown we had a huge online presence, we built up a catalogue of workout videos as well as running sessions each day.
“When the restrictions eased we were able to run outdoor spin and boot camp classes in the car park.”
Mr Franklin put the gym’s success down to being able to adapt.
When they started 30 years ago they were doing aerobics classes in a hall but they are now a modern gym with something for everyone.
