‘Traitorous dog’: Yes campaigner abused

A conspiracy theorist has filmed the shameful moment he abused a Yes advocate for handing out voting leaflets outside a busy mall in Melbourne.

Yes campaign abused

A Yes advocate in the Voice referendum has been subject to an angry, expletive-ridden tirade by a conspiracy theorist as campaigning heats up in the leadup to the historic vote.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced last week the referendum on the Indigenous Voice would be held on October 14, leading both sides to ramp up their pitches to voters.

The Yes campaigner was quietly handing out leaflets outside a busy Melbourne shopping mall when he was accosted by a man who goes by Brad CC on social media.

“This f***wit,” Brad yelled in front of shocked onlookers.

“Don’t listen to this guy, he is a f***ing sellout, f*** off idiot. I am going to stay here until you go away.”

He also labelled him a “traitorous f***ing dog” during the disturbing and unprovoked rant.

Brad later took to social media to defend his behaviour.

Rather ironically, he described the Yes campaigner as a “typical troll” and claimed his behaviour was warranted because three Yes campaigners had apparently heckled him.

Brad said he eventually left the area “because there were children around”.

Yes23 and Advance Australia were contacted for comment but neither responded by the time of publication.

Conspiracy theorist

Brad’s social media feed, which reads “FVK this grubernment … FVK all grubernments” in its intro, is a trip down a rabbit hole into a world of bizarre conspiracies.

Recent videos show Brad, who says he lives in his van and travels the country to attend rallies, attended a rally in Melbourne called “Leave the Kids Alone”, an anti-trans meeting that was billed to “stop the sexualisation of children.”

In another video uploaded on the same day, he recorded a person draped in a rainbow flag at an LGBTIQ meeting near the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Brad had a whistle he blew every time a presenter at the meeting spoke, as well as hurling homophobic slurs.

In an older video, filmed as he drove through fog, he stated the government was “spraying us with f**king toxic shit”.

“(I’m driving through) geoengineered fog at the moment … remember the old days when you drove through fog, you had to turn your f***king wipers on?” he said.

“No, there’s no moisture in it at all. Thanks government for f***ing looking out for us and spraying us with f***ing toxic s**t.”

Other videos revealed he believed the Freemasons were trying to silence him, that he was unfairly trolled online by ‘cooker watchers’ who are actually “government operatives” and “robots”, and he is not keen on the Covid-19 vaccine.

Latest poll grim sign for Yes campaign

Brad’s tirades comes as it’s revealed the Yes campaign have a steep mountain to climb ahead of the October 14 referendum, as a new poll shows the No vote is now in the majority.

The latest Newspoll for The Australian reveals support for the Indigenous Voice to Parliament has fallen to 38 per cent, while those intending to vote No has risen to 53 per cent.

The poll also shows support for the Coalition has reached its highest level since the May 2022 election – leading Labor 37 per cent to 35 per cent on the primary vote.

And, ahead of what’s set to be a divisive campaign in the lead up to the referendum, Mr Albanese’s personal approval ratings have also fallen into negative territory for the first time since taking office – down from 52 per cent to 46 per cent.
