A Tasmanian computer expert found with child abuse material has had an update to his case made by prosecutors.
Christopher John Standen appeared before Justice Gregory Geason in Hobart Supreme Court this week, ahead of his upcoming sentence.
The Huonville man is charged with possessing child exploitation material, and possessing / controlling child abuse material obtained or accessed using a carriage service.
He is also charged with using a carriage service to access child abuse material.
Standen in January pleaded guilty to all charges.
The offences are said to have occurred between 2016 and 2019.
In court, prosecutors asked to amend part of the complaint against Standen.
The prosecutor asked that on the count of possessing child exploitation material, that an adjustment from the number of “anime” books found were reduced from 175 to 35.
The complaint was amended.
Standen was bailed and adjourned to appear for sentencing in late February.
The Mercury has previously reported that Standen has worked for TasTAFE, and in 2015 delivered computer literacy courses at Huonville High School.
