Tasmania’s best brow artist says it is a privilege to be trusted with her clients’ most precious asset – their face.

GOOD brows can be life changing – just ask the owner of Tasmania’s Best Brow Bar as voted by Mercury readers.

Alexandra Johnson, of North Hobart brow studio Stella Arden, said she was pleasantly surprised to be recognised by her many valued clients.

An experienced beauty therapist with 17 years in the industry, Ms Johnson has honed in on brows in recent years.

She has travelled the country training and upskilling in the highly technical skill set of brow tattooing.

Ms Johnson said good brows could dramatically improve a person’s appearance and their self-confidence.

“Brows frame your face … the wrong brows really drag your face down and the right brows that arch and start and finish where they are meant to will accentuate the features you already have,” she said.

One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is recreating brows for clients with hair loss resulting from alopecia and cancer treatment.

“Having had cancer myself it’s an extra bonus for me that I get to work with people who have gone through something similar,” she said.

Ms Johnson said she was grateful to her clients and the trust they placed in her.

“It’s a big deal. You are tattooing someone’s face,” she said.
