A woman is fighting for life after she was allegedly stabbed in the upper torso in Adelaide’s northern-suburbs on Thursday night.

Police arrested another woman at the scene, and said early indications suggested the pair are known to each other.

About 6:40pm, police and emergency services were called to a house in Bronte Cres, Elizabeth East, to reports that a woman had been stabbed.

MedStar was called and the woman was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

It is the second stabbing in Adelaide’s northern-suburbs on the same day, after a 17-year-old boy stabbed an elderly man at Surrey Downs on Thursday morning.

Police have urged anyone who may have witnessed either incident to call Crime Stoppers.
