Pedestrian taken to Royal Hobart Hospital after hit by BMW on Tasman Highway
A man is recovering in hospital after he was hit by a car in Hobart’s east on Friday night.

A PEDESTRIAN is recovering in hospital after he was hit by a car in Hobart’s east on Friday night.
The 28-year-old man was walking along the Tasman Highway at Mornington just before 10pm when he was hit by a white BMW sedan travelling east.
INVESTIGATORS FIND CAUSE OF UNIT FIRE
Paramedics treated the Eastern Shore man at the scene before he was taken to Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition.
“Over the following hours the man’s condition improved and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening,” Sergeant Luke Walker said.

“The Tasman Highway was closed for about two hours while Crash Investigation and
Forensic Service personnel investigated.
“At the time of the crash the weather was fine and road was dry.”
Police said investigations surrounding the circumstances of the incident were continuing.
