A line-up of iconic Aussie acts are heading to Hobart this summer for the state’s first instalment of the beloved music festival By the C.
After gracing famous beachside locations across the country over the past few years, the event will make its debut in Tasmania on Friday February 4 at the Royal Botanical Gardens, presenting legendary homegrown talent.
Headliners Icehouse will showcase their Great Southern Land 2022 Concert Series to music lovers as part of the experience, in celebration of the hit’s 40 year anniversary which has become a summer anthem since debuting at number 5 on 1982’s Australian Singles Chart.
Aria Hall of Fame’s James Reyne, famous for his hit track ‘Boys Light Up’, will also be putting on a show alongside power rock duo Killing Heidi, who dominated Triple J’s Hottest 100 in the early 00s.
Apart from a stellar line-up of artists the festival will boast food trucks and pop-up bars by Hobart’s waterfront.
The event’s announcement comes after Premier Peter Gutwein advised Public Health would be reviewing restrictions for dancing and those standing with a drink.
Tickets to By the C will go on sale on Saturday November 20 via ticketmaster.com.au
