A second Covid case has been reported at the Goodstart childcare centre at Blackmans Bay.

Parents were told on Friday night of a worked who tested positive after attending the centre on Wednesday December 29 from 7am to 11am.

“Unfortunately, we have had confirmation of an additional team member that we deemed a close contact has also tested positive to Covid that attended learning space 4/5 on Thursday the 30th of December,” a message to parents at 2am on Monday said.

“We are still awaiting direction from Public Health but as you know, we have already made the decision to contact people individually if they have been deemed a close contact.

“If your child attended learning space 4/5 on Thursday 30th your child would be considered a close contact so please get tested and isolate as per Tas Health guidelines.”

The centre apologised for the inconvenience to parents.

“Pleased be assured the centre will be cleaned before opening on Tuesday,” it said.
