Dr Veitch said two of the cases were from the state’s North while the other two were from the North-West.

Two of the patients are aged in their 70s while one is in their 60s and one in their 40s.

Dr Veitch said further information would be provided at a later time but said one of the cases was associated with the Ruby Princess cruise ship while another is a close contact of another case.

He said the other two cases arose from the North-West.
