A man has been arrested following an alleged violent attack in which four people, including a 12-year-old boy, were assaulted inside a Cairns home.
A 26-year-old Babinda man was arrested by Edmonton detectives on Saturday, March 23 following a months-long investigation into an alleged serious assault from December last year.
Police claim the man entered a Bentley Park home around 3am on December 1 where he, alongside two other men, allegedly attacked four residents.
A 40-year-old man, 38-year-old woman, 12-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were the alleged victims of the attack.
The Babinda man was charged with entering a dwelling at night and four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company.
A 33-year-old Mooroobool man and a 27-year-old Gordonvale man were previously charged over the incident.
The Mooroobool man was charged on January 18 and appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court on January 19.
The Gordonvale man was charged on December 23 last year and appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court on January 29.
The Babinda man is due in Cairns Magistrates Court on April 23.
