TASMANIA’S most famous luxury resort has received more international tourism accolades.
Saffire Freycinet was named best luxury hotel in Australia, best luxury hotel in the South Pacific and 20th best luxury hotel in the world in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2022.
The Federal Group resort was also named the third best all-inclusive hotel in the world.
Saffire general manager Ross Boobyer said the awards were the proudest of his professional career.
“These awards belong to the entire Saffire team and I want to thank them for their unwavering commitment every day to creating lifelong memories for each and every guest that walks through our doors,” Mr Boobyer said.
“Whilst I have had many unforgettable moments during my time here, I am perhaps at my proudest today.
“To be recognised not only on a national level but also to feature so highly on the global lists is such an incredible achievement and it is truly a reflection of the amazing dedication of our crew.
“We have faced many setbacks over the past few years with Covid lockdowns, border closures and staff shortages. We have ridden the storm and have come out the other side bigger and better than ever.”
The Travellers’ Choice winners are determined based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings posted on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period alongside an additional editorial process
