'Too young!': Roxy Jacenko took her 11-year-old daughter to get a lash lift

"What's next, botox and fillers?" one troll asked. But many users defended Roxy's parenting decision, saying "It's a harmless procedure and normal for tweens to want to try."

Roxy Jacenko has once again sparked controversy online after revealing she allowed her 11-year-old daughter, Pixie, to get a lash lift and tint.

The PR maven runs her daughter's Instagram account and recently shared a vlog-style reel of Pixie going to get her lashes done.

In the caption for the clip, which now has over 100k views and 1.4k likes, she wrote: "Red hair means no lashes - until now. Thanks @fancy.lash for my lash lift and tint."

Roxy said that her daughter's lashes are virtually impossible to see otherwise

Roxy implied that she only gave her daughter permission to get her lashes done because they would be virtually impossible to see otherwise, due to her hair colour.

The treatment was done at Fancy Lash, which has two locations in Sydney, Potts Point and Chatswood.

In the video, Pixie is seen walking into the salon and greeting the beautician. The woman then gets to work on the tween's lashes, carefully curling them backwards and applying the dye.

At the end of the session, Pixie looks happy as she poses for photos for her social media.

'Does her mother have any brains? How sad'

A lash lift and tint is different to eyelash extensions as it enhances your natural lashes by lifting and darkening them, while extensions involve applying fake lashes to your natural lashes to create a fuller and longer appearance.

A lash lift and tint is also a semipermanent dye job and results typically last three-four weeks.

But despite it being a temporary enhancement, the video still received criticism from social media users who felt that Pixie was too young for the treatment altogether.

Some trolls even suggested that the next step for her would be Botox and lip fillers.

"C'mon mum, there is plenty of time for this sort of stuff. You are creating a monster," one viewer critiqued.

"Really? Too young for this," one remarked. "EYE ROLL... Does her mother have any brains ??"

"You're teaching your child that beauty only comes from artificial things," a different woman wrote.

Another said: "What a joke," while someone else added, "Wow. How sad."

A fourth commented, "Use your platform to teach young girls to adhere to beauty standards?!"

'You do what makes you happy Pixie!'

Despite the criticism, others came forward to support Jacenko's decision, pointing out that it's a safe procedure.

"It’s a lash lift and tint… are people serious?" one person wrote.

Another replied, "They’re not fake lashes. I was getting this done at her age. Some people need to get a life!"

"The amount of adults that are here arguing on a child’s account is gross! You do what makes you happy Pixie!" read another comment.

"As a fellow ginger, I support this!!!" concluded a fourth.
