1. Catch the MONA ferry and stand on the top deck. Bonus points for enjoying a nice, cool beverage. MONA museum will be cool too.

2. Head up to the top of kunanyi/Mt Wellington. It’s always cooler up there, and the view is stunning.

3. Visit one of our spectacular beaches for a dip. You know the water will still be icy.

4. Sit in the shade at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and read a book.

5. Wander through the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery — combine cooling down with learning something new.

6. Get all old fashioned and run through the sprinkler in the backyard.

8. Head down to the docks and grab an ice cream .

9. Jump on a Pennicott Wilderness Journey and get out on the water. The boats go fast enough to cool you down, and if you see a whale you’ll definitely forget about the heat.

10. Grab a beer at one of Salamanca’s many watering holes.
