GROWING up under the guidance of the godfather of Australian whisky has put Jack Lark in good stead for his next big step.
The son of Bill and Lyn Lark, from world-renowned Lark Distillery, has launched his first limited edition gin.
Jack said it was a special experience to have created a “full flavoured, rich and complex” drink with the help of his mum.
He said COVID-19 allowed him to finish the product after more than a year of work.
“I approached this as a whisky drinker so I wanted a gin that you could drink by itself,” he said.
The result was House of Lenna Blend 1 from Battery Point Distillery.
Mr Lark said the gin boasted rosemary, cucumber, tonka bean, vanilla bean and Tasmanian sea salt.
The 192 limited release bottles were distilled in small batches in a copper pot still.
House of Lenna Blend 1 ($85) is available at houseoflenna.com.
