Tassie’s star Roo Ben Brown scores big in love as he marries long-time partner Hester Mary MacKinnon

IT’S been a big year for Tassie AFL star Ben Brown – a breakout year with North Melbourne, third in the Coleman Medal, signing a big contract extension – but he had his biggest win of all on Saturday.

IT’S been a big year for Tasmanian AFL star Ben Brown.

The forward had a breakout year with North Melbourne, finishing third in the Coleman Medal and the Kangaroos’ best and fairest count and signing a big contract extension to stay with the club until 2020.

But Brown, 24, had his biggest win of all on Saturday, returning home to marry long-time partner Hester Mary MacKinnon.

The service took place at the historic Shene Estate and Distillery near Pontville, with the stunning bride radiant in a Gwendolynne wedding dress with a Liza Stedman Millinery headpiece.

“I married the love of my life yesterday, and it was special and perfect and wonderful,” Hester wrote on her Instagram account.

Ben was equally excited, writing, “#besterweddingever #bestdayever!” on his.
