“I hate it”
“My partner brought (sic) this from Kmart in Australian (sic) and I hate it,” he shared on Reddit
Attached was a picture of a weekly planner, which at first glance, looked entirely normal.
It’s very pretty and pink, with a magnetic back and a whiteboard finish so you can get all your stuff organised.
Love it.
There are seven days of the week listed, all seem correct. It’s a weekly planner, of course, it’s correct!
Until you see the order they placed the days of the week.
Introducing our new podcast: Mum Club! Listen and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts so you never miss an episode.
It starts strong with Monday, then you look to your right and see … Wednesday?
Gah, why?
Don't worry, it's OK. Tuesday is tucked directly underneath Monday, meaning you have to organise the start of your week diagonally, sort of like a backward “N.”
If you can get used to working in a zig-zag every week, this is still a great planner!
Then you move to Friday, and suddenly everything you learned a second ago is thrown out the window.
You’d think, based on the previous three days, that Saturday would be underneath Friday just like Tuesday and Monday. But no, it’s placed to the right, in perfect order as it should have always been.
Directly under Friday is Sunday, meaning you plan the rest of your week in the standard left-to-right fashion.
Then, tucked to the side is the mysterious eighth day of the week - “notes.”
Again, why? It just doesn’t make sense, and it hurts my brain.
But if the unique planner speaks to you or you want to hurt someone you love, it's still available for purchase.

“The planner where you’ll always be uncertain about what day it is and what day is next”
The heads of Reddit were equally as confused by the weekly planner, furious at its unruly layout.
“I was like omg this is so cute and I would love this!” a woman said. “Then I saw the layout of the days... Wtf!”
“My brain is not braining,” read a comment. “I had a stroke trying to figure out this layout,” someone else joked.
“That is the worst thing I think I've ever seen,” said another. “Ugh I hate it.”
“Man, Australia is always on hard mode, they even have an 8th weekday.”
“The planner where you’ll always be uncertain about what day it is and what day is next,” a comment read.
Others loved to see the pain it was inflicting on others.
“It makes sense,” someone defended.
“Monday and Tuesday are kind of their own block of the week with their own ‘early week’ vibe. Wednesday [and] Thursday is the same, with Friday and Saturday representing the early and then middle weekend. Sunday is a day of reflection as we anticipate Monday, which is why it’s separate from the other weekends and leads into notes.”
“It’s ironic there’s a space for ‘notes’ because I have none,” read a comment. “10 out of 10; they nailed it.”
Kidspot reached out to Kmart for comment.
