I’m paying my teen $13k to move out so she doesn't turn into a moron

She'll get the gift for her 19th birthday, provided she packs her bags.

Mum fakes depression for free nose job

A mum has revealed that she's going to great lengths to get her teen to move out of home.

Carla Bellucci, a social media influencer from the UK, said that she's willing to part ways with a whopping $13k so she can enjoy the privacy that comes with having a child-free home.

She also claimed that it's in the best interest of her daughter too, so she won't become a "moron."

"What kind of quality of life do these parents have?"

The mum-of-four says the money will be "a gift" to her 19-year-old for her birthday - provided she packs her bags soon after.

She told The Daily Starthat she believes kids should leave home as soon as they turn 18, or risk being "mollycoddled" by their parents.

"I left home at 16 and I was totally fine and survived," she said. "What kind of quality of life do these parents have?"

"You can’t have that time with your husband or partner because you have teenagers constantly around."

"These teenagers or young adults end up like morons"

Carla added that while her children are "good kids", she's worried that if they don't get out there and experience the world on their own, they'll end up "like morons."

"Mine are good kids but they are old enough to be out in the world and I think people mollycoddle them so much and wrap them in cotton wool and I don’t want to be horrible but these teenagers or young adults end up like morons," she said.

So, what does her daughter think about it all?

Well, thankfully for her mum, she can't wait!

Apparently, living under her roof comes with "a lot of restrictions" like having to keep quiet in the evenings for her toddler sister and not being allowed to have parties or people over.

Sounds like a win-win situation for the teen!

However, commenters on social media thought the arrangement was slack, as she was putting her partner ahead of her child.

"The sad thing is, she isn’t the only 'mother' who would put a man before their children. I’d move heaven and earth for my children, they will forever come before anyone!!" said one.

Another shared, "My son's 28 and I love having him at home and so does my other half."

"If she wants to move out, fine.. but kicking your teen out because you have a man, naahhh. I couldn’t... my kids will fly the nest when they are ready to," concluded someone else.

Amongst the hate, a few fans came out to defend the mum, with one saying: "Makes sense. I was 17 and I didn’t get a penny from my parents, so she’s lucky."

Another shared: "Most teenagers would be thrilled to have this lucky chance at freedom paid for! Good mum if you ask me, setting her up for the future."
