'Bluey was #robbed': Fans 'gutted' over Logies snub

"This is the same as Leo not winning The Oscar for Titanic," one outraged viewer tweeted.

Bluey 'snubbed' at Logies

Australian TV’s night of nights, the 63rd TV Week Logie Awards has come and gone.

And despite the event being a huge success, from Sonia Kruger taking out the coveted Gold Logie to Sam Pang's hilarious opening monologue - the ceremony wasn't without controversy, as beloved TV show Bluey lost the award for 'Most Outstanding Children's Program'.

The Most Outstanding Children’s Program goes to...

The show previously won in both 2019 and 2022 and was set to take home the title again this year but ultimately failed to receive the votes.

Instead, ABC's original series Crazy Fun Park took out the prestigious award in an announcement that shocked not only the audience (there were 'boos') but even the show's creators.

When creator Nicholas Verso took to the stage to accept the award he immediately apologised, sensing the disappointment in the room.

"I'm really sorry everyone," he began."We didn't think we were going to win, seriously, we were up against Bluey."

Then producer Joanna Werner admitted, "I was about to take off my shoes."

Meanwhile, Bluey creator Daley Pearson was a good sport about it all, as he was seen jokingly shaking while taking a sip from his glass during the announcement.

He even took to his Instagram later that night to congratulate the winners.

Sharing a photo of the Crazy Fun Park creators and producers he wrote: "Congratulations to these guys on your first Logie! 🎪"

"Bluey is the real winner"

But despite Pearson taking the loss in his stride, Bluey fans were quick to voice their outrage online, saying that the show was #robbed.

"Bluey, the most successful TV show in Australia has missed out on a Logie. Okay then?!"," one fan Tweeted.

Another posted: "I am gutted, Bluey was robbed."

"Bluey is the real winner," claimed someone else.

"How did Bluey NOT win?!" asked a different Twitter user.

Then one person even said, "Bluey not winning is the same as Leo not winning The Oscar for Titanic."

"The judging panel are so out of touch"

Others were outraged over the direction The Logies were taking, with one person declaring: "Bluey lost. Might be time to say goodbye to the Logies."

"The Logies has gone downhill," a different Tweet read after the shock announcement aired.

Another wrote: "I just don't think even Sam Pang can save the Logies when Bluey didn't win best kids' program."

"It's so disappointing that the judging panel is so out of touch with what's hitting," concluded someone else.
