Two Tasmanian singers hoping are to get their big break on The Voice
A tradie and a cleaner will use just their voices in an attempt to impress celebrity judges and break into the music industry – and keen fans may recognise their faces.

TWO Tasmanians will showcase their singing skills to the nation when the new season of The Voice hits TV screens next week.
Tradie Jesse Teinaki and cleaner Stellar Perry will attempt to impress celebrity judges
Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Kelly Rowland and Boy George on season e of the show which starts on May 24.
Fans may remember 28-year-old Teinaki from his appearance on The Voice last year, when he made it to the Battle Rounds before being eliminated.
Originally from Tasmania’s North-West, but now living in New South Wales, Teinaki also appeared on The X Factor in 2014, where he was dubbed Somerset’s singing tradie.

Teinaki can be seen wowing judges on a new promotional video for The Voice, which has been circulating on social media.
He said he would be returning to screens this year with a stronger sense of the artist he wants to be – he has been writing and producing his own music since leaving the show last year while also running his own electrical business.

Meanwhile, Stellar Perry may also look familiar to reality TV fans – the 36-year-old hails from Hobart and appeared on The X Factor in 2010 under another name – Amanda Grafanakis.
Now based in Victoria, where she runs a cleaning business, Perry has been singing since she was eight and has spent many years trying to break into the music industry.
She said she is returning to screens more confident and ready than ever.
Teinaki and Perry are two of many Tasmanians flying the flag for our state on reality TV shows this year.
Launceston twins Rhi and Kimmy Harris have been impressing judges on House Rules, local foodies Ben Milbourne and Sarah Clare returned to screens for MasterChef: Back to Win while a 44-year-old winemaker called Nick from Deviot, in the state’s North, is searching for a soulmate in the new series of Farmer Wants a Wife.
The Voice starts on Sunday May 24 on Channel 9.
