Even Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon aren’t immune to the lure of the iconic Totti’s puffy bread.
The Hollywood duo were spotted dining at the Bondi hotspot, part of Justin Hemmes’ Merivale empire, on Tuesday night. The two were hitting up the influencer haven for a bite to eat as they enjoy down time from filming.
Damon, 53, who arrived in Australia for a holiday last week, was joined by his wife Luciana Barosso, as well as Hemsworth, 41 and a group of friends at the Italian restaurant.
Earlier, the blockbuster stars were seen touching down at Sydney airport on a private jet after flying into the harbour city from Byron Bay, where Hemsworth lives.
It comes after the Jason Bourne star opened up about why Australia has become a “second home” for his family, including his four daughters, since their first lengthy stay here back in 2018.
Speaking to news.com.au last week, the actor explained how it seemed like the ideal destination to make memories with his children following the death of his beloved father Kent Damon, who lost his battle with cancer aged 75 in December 2017.
“After my dad died, we moved down there for four months and just went and camped all over the place,” Damon said.
“And just … I think because maybe he had never been, and it just felt like a place to go to make memories with my kids.
“Then every year we would return, even back during the pandemic. We were down there for about six months, and it’s just like a second home to us.
“We just love it and we love the people and everything about it.”
Meanwhile, Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky has entrusted her Marvel star husband to take on solo dad duties as she films a TV series in her native Spain.
The Aussie actor has certainly run amok in his wife’s absence, recently sharing photos of his twin sons’ striking new bowl cut hairstyles, courtesy of his own barber skills, on Instagram.
“Hairdressing has always been my one true passion and as you can see the results speak for themselves,” he wrote alongside a series of laugh-face emojis.
