The 2024 ARIA Awards take place this afternoon at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, with indie rock duo Royel Otis leading the nominations.
DJ Dom Dolla, Australia’s queen of pop Kylie Minogue and singer-songwriter Angie McMahon are among the other major nominees for the awards, which will be hosted by not one but five Aussie presenters: Tim Blackwell, Bridget Hustwaite, Latifa Tee, Christian Wilkins and Rhys Nicholson. Singer-songwriter Missy Higgins, who recently marked 20 years since the release of her debut album and topped the charts with her sixth, will be this year’s inductee into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
She’s expected to sing a medley of her biggest hits, with help from some special guests.
One person not expected to attend, despite recently having flown into the country and being up for multiple major awards: Kylie Minogue.
