Young woman dies after two vehicles collide on Warrego Highway

Police have identified the woman who died in the two-vehicle crash on the Warrego Highway as a 30-year-old Samoan national.
It is understood the woman was an overseas labourer who worked at a Lockyer Valley business.
A red 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer sedan and green 2022 Toyota Avalon sedan collided travelling westbound.
The two occupants of the Mitsubishi suffered critical injuries and were immediately provided expert care by two off-duty doctors who stopped to help before emergency services arrived.
The woman died at the scene while the male driver was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
Police faced a difficult task of first identifying the woman and then contacting her next of kin in Samoa.
