Police arrest 31-year-old man alleged to have stolen multiple high-priced tools from Bunnings

A man caught on CCTV allegedly stealing items from Bunnings has been charged and will appear in court on Monday facing a raft of offences.

A Lockyer Valley man will appear in court today after he was arrested and charged with 15 property and drug offences.

Police allege the 31-year-old man made five trips to the Plainland Bunnings between December 11-24 and stole multiple high-priced tools.

CCTV of the man’s alleged offences show him hiding the ill-gotten gain in the boxes of cheap items.

Police made an appeal for public information and released photos and CCTV of the man which led officers to execute a search warrant at a Kensington Grove address on Sunday where they arrested the man.

He has been charged five counts of stealing, three counts of possess drug utensil, and one count each of possess property suspected of being stolen, produce dangerous drug, possess dangerous drug, fail to dispose of needle/syringe, fraud, drive unregistered vehicle and an offence to remove number plate confiscation notice.

Police denied the man’s bail and he will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
