Woman seriously injured in DV incident on Warrego Highway

A woman was found seriously injured on the side of the Warrego Highway at night following a horrific domestic violence incident between Dalby and Toowoomba.

A woman was rushed to Toowoomba Hospital with a number of injuries after she ‘fell’ from a car travelling on the Warrego Highway about a 30 minutes’ drive west of Toowoomba.

A woman was rushed to hospital on Sunday night with serious injuries after ‘falling’ from a car travelling along the Warrego Highway in the Toowoomba region.

It is understood the shocking incident was domestic violence related.

The Queensland Police Service would not comment on the incident given the nature of the crime.

It is not known if the woman jumped from the vehicle to escape her alleged attacker or if she was pushed.

An ambulance was called to a section of the Warrego Highway at Jondaryan about 6.15pm, where a woman in her 40s was found with multiple injuries.

Jondaryan is about 43km northwest of Toowoomba, on the cusp of the Western Downs region.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the woman reportedly ‘fell’ from a moving vehicle on Sunday night, June 23.

“(She) was transported to Toowoomba Hospital with grazes and abrasions her back and chest and a significant arm injury,” she said.

The woman was in a stable condition.

No charges had been laid in relation to the incident.
