Two teenagers have been charged in connection to two separate break and enters as investigations into a spate of incidents continue.
On April 12 about 9.55pm an unknown number of intruders allegedly broke into the Prince Henry Drive home of a woman in her 80s and used bricks and a screwdriver to allegedly rob her of her car and a large quantity of cash, after following her into her garage.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed a 16-year-old boy has since been charged with one count each of armed robbery, enter dwelling with intent at night in company, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing dangerous drugs while the grey 2005 BMW 320I that was allegedly stolen remains outstanding
The following day on April 13, about 5.30pm a large amount of gold jewellery was stolen during a break in of a Nelson St, Kearneys Spring address, with investigations ongoing and the jewellery unaccounted for.
On April 14 about 4am, up to four people allegedly entered a Kearneys Spring home and used the occupant’s kitchen knife to make threats and demand money, with the family forced to lock themselves in a bedroom and call police.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted robbery and break and enter in relation to the incident.
