Thieves have been busy across Toowoomba with more than half a dozen businesses targeted as police investigations into the crime spree continue.

True Crime: Three of the worst serial killers in history

More than half a dozen businesses have been hit in a spate of smash and grabs across the city, with police still investigating the robberies.

The crime spree began overnight on June 30 when a Centenary Heights hair salon was broken into, with a number of items stolen.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said on the same night three businesses in Middle Ridge were also broken into, including another hair salon, restaurant and day spa.

In the early hours of July 1 more businesses were broken into in Harristown on Drayton Road, including a salon, a barber shop and a takeaway store.

“No one has been charged in relation to any of these incidents, however investigations are ongoing,” the spokeswoman said.

“Police will investigate whether there is any potential link between the offences and would encourage anyone who may have further information to come forward.”
