One of four young men who led police on a wild two-day chase across regional Queensland has been released from police custody after pleading guilty in court.

After spending two days in the Toowoomba watch house Eliah John Bligh pleaded guilty in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday, February 1, to the unlawful use of a car and entering two homes with the intention to commit a crime.

The court was told the newly 18-year-old decided to go for a joy ride with three of his mates, despite knowing the car was earlier stolen from a Toowoomba address.

Police prosecutor Bettina Trenear said Toowoomba police spotted the group driving the stolen white LandCruiser on the wrong side of the road on February 7, and successfully stopped the car with tyre spikes at Millmerran.

Prosecutor Trenear said police nabbed one of the men, but Bligh and two others got away and entered an elderly man’s home with the intention to find a getaway car.

Kyaharlem Hazard allegedly took off in the 80-year-old cancer patient’s Toyota HiLux, leaving his mates behind.

Prosecutor Trenear said soon after police caught up with Bligh and his mate in a Millmerran backyard while they were allegedly eyeing off a red Hyundai Civic.

Magistrate Clare Kelly sentenced Bligh to a nine month probation order and did not record a conviction.

The three alleged co-accused are still in police custody - Lachlan Connor Cubby, 20, Kyaharlem Hazard, 19, and Kamahl Jeremy Scott Duncan, 21.
