From musicals to food expos - there’s at least 10 fun-filled events across the Toowoomba region to keep the whole family entertained this weekend. See what’s on here.

1. VOICES, VALVES AND VIBES - A CONCERT OF BRASS AND VOICE”

What better way to finish off this Saturday 21st June than to hear Drayton Brass and the vocal group Choirbolical present a great afternoon of Brass and voice from 4.30PM at the Drayton Hall 39 Brisbane St, Drayton. Pay $15 at the door.

Both groups will treat you to a variety of popular and traditional tunes like Lady in Red, Haven’t Met You Yet, Sweet Caroline and others from Drayton Brass.

Choirbolical will bring you their delightful renditions of Riversong, All the Pretty Horses and Bring me Sunshine plus more.

2. HARRISTOWN HIGH PRESENTS ‘STRICTLY BALLROOM THE MUSICAL’

An adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s hit, Harristown high school students will take the stage at The Armitage Centre on Saturday for an unforgettable performance at 1pm and again at 7pm. Tickets available at empiretheatre.com.au.

3. TOOWOOMBA’S ENDLESS EDIT

The city’s favourite clothing market will open this Sunday from 8am at the Toowoomba Indoor Bowling Association at 10 Annand St. Entry fee of $2 applies, free entry for kids.

4. ST MARY’S COLLEGE PRESENTS ‘LORD OF THE FLIES’

The much anticipated ‘savage’ rendition began the first of its four shows this week, with final performances on Saturday at the Edmund Rice Cultural Centre at 11am and 7pm. Get your tickets at trybooking.com.

5. SOUL JOURNEY PSYCHIC EXPO

Back for another year the Toowoomba Psychic Expo will set up shop at the Oaks Hotel on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Entry fee of $5 applies.

6. CLIFTON PINT AND PLATE EXPRESS

Climb aboard the majestic locomotive 1037 on Sunday for a trip through the burrowing Darling Downs countryside to Clifton where you’ll have two hours to explore and dine before returning back to the Drayton station. Get your tickets at downssteam.com.

7. INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL AND MOSQUE OPEN DAY 

Join the Islamic Society of Toowoomba at the Garden City Mosque at 82 Stephen St for a fun day of food and friendship on Saturday from 10.30am to 3pm.

8. PICNIC IN THE PARK

Grab a picnic blanket and your family and friends and head to one of the region’s picturesque parks, with the likes of Laurel Bank Park, Queens Park, Picnic Point, Queensland Rose Garden or Ravensbourne National Park

9. PARKRUN

Keep up the motivation and kilometres in the legs during the winter months by joining in on the weekly parkrun in Queens Park on Saturday morning from 7am.

10. MARKETS

Stock up on fresh produce and homemade goodies for your weekend celebrations at one of Toowoomba’s quality markets.

Every Saturday Toowoomba Farmers’ Market is as 27 Lindsay St, East Toowoomba (near the windmills at Cobb & Co Museum) from 7am to 12pm, and every Sunday the Toowoomba PCYC Market is at 219 James St from 7am to 12.30pm.
