Police raid 22 Toowoomba properties to seize drugs and firearms
An arsenal of illegal firearms and drugs have been taken off Toowoomba streets after police executed raids across the city.

A sawn-off shotgun and silencer are among an arsenal of illegal firearms seized by police during raids across Toowoomba.
Toowoomba Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said detective raided 22 homes and arrested 23 people as they targeted a drug network operating in the community.
“These search warrants were formulated from a combination of Crimestoppers information from the community as well as targeting investigative strategies implemented by police,” he said.
Police seized eight illegal firearms along with quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis and GBH.
In total 23 people were charged with a total of 76 offences to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court in the coming weeks.
“Police encourage anyone with information in relation to persons dealing or possessing the illegal firearms and illegal drugs to contact Crimestoppers and provide us what you know in an effort to make our community a safer place to live and conduct business,” Senior Sergeant McCusker said.
