Isaac Zane Cubby charged with murder arising from death of 75-year-old Robert Brown back in Toowoomba court
The teenager is accused of felling the 75-year-old man who police claim hit his head on the road and later died. Here’s what we know so far.

Further police material to add to what was already a large file relating to a Toowoomba teenager charged with murder was expected to be finalised within weeks.
Isaac Zane Cubby, 18, is charged with murder arising from the death of 75-year-old Robert Brown who police claim was pushed over from behind as he waited at a Margaret St taxi rank and hit his head on the street about 5.10pm, February 6.
Mr Brown, a keen and well-known amateur photographer, later died in hospital having never regained consciousness.
Police claim Mr Cubby had exited a stolen Hyundai Tucson parked on nearby Dent St before running up behind Mr Brown, pushing him over and stealing his backpack.
The teenager has not as yet been required to enter pleas to his charges which include murder, robbery with violence in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle arising from that incident as well as to 16 unrelated matters.
On Friday, his solicitor Ryan McCullough, of MacDonald Law, told the court he had been advised that there was more police material to be disclosed which was expected to be done by July 6.
Mr McCullough asked for an adjournment to a date after that so he could consider that material and brief counsel.
Magistrate Mark Howden remanded Mr Cubby in custody and adjourned all matters for mention in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on July 28.
Two 17-year-old boys, from Harlaxton and Dalby respectively, who as juveniles cannot be named, have also been charged with murder arising from Mr Brown’s death and their matters were progressing through the Children’s Court jurisdiction.
