Dalby police have changed two men who caused a disturbance at the local McDonalds restaurant.

A man woke up on Saturday with a sore head and the threat of a hefty compensation bill stretching into the thousands of dollars after he kicked in the McDonald’s speaker box.

Dalby Sergeant Sean Donaghy said police were called to the restaurant shortly after midnight on Saturday.

“They located two male who were well-known to police,” he said.

The men had walked into the drive-through to order food but were denied service.

One of the men, a 22-year-old, took his anger out on the speaker box, kicking it to pieces.

“The men have continued to swear and act aggressively toward police,” Sgt Donaghy said.

Police arrested the men and charged them with obstructing police and public nuisance.

In an unrelated matter, officers were greeted with a torrent of abuse from a 21-year-old man who was not happy with being charge with several drug and domestic violence offences a few days earlier

Sgt Donaghy said the man was causing a disturbance outside the Dalby Police Station at 10am on Sunday so police attempted to issue the man with a move-on order

“He became abusive and ran out onto the road causing a passing vehicle to break heavily,” he said.

Police arrested the man and added a public nuisance entry to his charge sheet.
