We reveal the best players from the 2024 Toowoomba Warriors Reconciliation Carnival

Rugby league returned to Toowoomba over the weekend with the 2024 Toowoomba Warriors Reconciliation Carnival. Check out the star players from the competition here.

Rugby league returned to Toowoomba on the weekend as players from across the region converged on the Jack Martin Centre to brave the heat and take part in the Toowoomba Warriors Reconciliation Carnival.

The women’s competition kickstarted proceedings on Friday with the Sister Girls claiming the title after defeating Caroline’s Memorial team 10-6 in the final.

In the men’s competition, the Toomelah Tigers downed the Jaydon DOS Adams team 22-12 in the final to take home the victory.

Plenty of local legends were in action as the Toowoomba Warriors returned for the first time in several years and there were even some second and third generation Warriors in AJ Woodbridge, Dominic and Ryan Maguire and Dane Nielsen.

See who the star players were from the carnival below:

Courtney Robinson

Robinson was the Player of the Carnival as she helped the Sister Girls go all the way and continued her impressive form which has seen her dominate the TRL with Gatton.

Shalom Sauaso

Sauaso was the star of the show in the final at halfback and proved why she is a star of the future with her excellent moves in attack.

Rilee Jorgensen

Jorgensen was at her best as her leadership was on full display and used her strength in the middle to do damage for the Sister Girls.

Rosie Parsons

Parsons was a key player for Caroline’s Memorial team and her leadership helped the side reach the final.

Rikki Lamb

Lamb was unstoppable in the halves and was a star for Caroline’s Memorial team alongside Parsons in the spine.

Kiah and Denika Murray

The carnival unearthed some future talents in Kiah and Denika Murray, who were explosive in attack.

The sisters were a constant threat in attack and crossed over for several tries between them.

Austin Jennings

Jennings was a star throughout the competition and guided the Jaydon DOS Adams team to the final.

Despite the blistering heat, Jennings remained unfazed and was a consistent performer as he was named the Player of the Carnival for the men’s knockout.

Tony Clevin

Clevin was a member of the star-studded Toowoomba Warriors backline and helped his side reach the semi-finals.

His goalkicking was of the highest calibre as he boasted 100 per cent accuracy for the carnival and was the best back across the entire carnival.

Aiden Suhan

Suhan was the heartbeat of the Jayden DOS Adams team and helped his side reach the final.

Despite his side suffering a defeat in the grand final, he refused to go down without a fight and was the Player of the Final.

David McGrady

McGrady was electric in the backline for Toomelah and rose to the forefront when it mattered most with a clutch performance in the final.

Damien McIntosh

McIntosh used his power to his advantage and made an impact in the middle and was the best forward of the final.

Sailasa Cakau

While the Warriors’ backline brought the excitement, Cakau did the damage for Toowoomba in the middle of the park.

His determination and tireless runs saw him named as the best forward of the carnival.

Kaleb Cooper

Cooper showed he has what it takes to be a future star as he played well beyond his years and was the Rookie of the Carnival.

Joshua Robinson

While Cunnamulla Connections was unable to reach the final, Robinson’s experience and leadership was invaluable for his team.
