5. Bailey Biggar (Milkos)
Biggar is fifth on this week’s list after his inspired performance against the Eels.

4. Chris Longford (Warriors)

He scored three three-pointers at 42.9 per cent accuracy from beyond the arc and ended the game with a team-high 21 points.
Silcox-Smith also filled out the stat sheet with four rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Round 5
The fifth round of the Toowoomba Basketball League produced a major upset, with the previously undefeated Mustangs defeated by the Eels, while the Warriors continued their late-season push with a hard-fought win over the Milkos.
After surviving a late fightback from the Milkos, Warriors coach Jason Krienke was delighted to pick up another win to stay in the fight for finals.
“It is a great win for us after dropping the first three,” he said.
“I picked a very young team which everyone said was a bit risky, but now it is starting to pay off.
“It was just a solid effort from everyone and we really wanted to beat this team because they just nipped us at the end by two points last time.”
The second game of the night saw the Mustangs handed their first defeat of the season with the Eels running riot in the first half.
After the Warriors picked up the win in the earlier game, Eels captain Mitch Davis was under no illusions as to how important it was that his side claimed victory.
“It was a massive, massive win against a really good side,” he said.
“It was a must-win to keep us in the finals, so it keeps us in the hunt and next week is a massive week now.”
Mustangs captain Adam Gehrig labelled the clash as a “slap in the face” but believed it could prove to be a blessing in disguise with finals just around the corner.
“If you are going to lose a game, you don’t want to lose it in a semi or a final,” he said.
“So now is the time to lose and that is going to really sharpen us for next week I think.”
After some inspired individual displays across all four teams, we have narrowed down our top five players of the week.
