We name the 25 players to watch in the 2024 Toowoomba Elite Mixed Touch competition

With action kicking off over the weekend, we have highlighted the 25 players set to make their mark in the 2024 Toowoomba Touch Association Elite Mixed competition. See who is set to star here.

The Toowoomba Elite Mixed Touch competition is back for another year with some of the nation’s best touch football players battling it out in the Garden City.

Check out which players are set to star from each team here.

GTH Elite team

Co-captains: Sam Carmody and Kristen Currie

Players to watch: “From our team, we’ve got Shenae Ciesiolka and Jada Ferguson who are both Brisbane Broncos NRLW players who are just coming off their semi-final in their season so I think they’ll be two to watch out for,” Carmody said.

Earthmoving Parts and Service Solutions Elite team

Co-captains: Indy Kelly and Bailey Deakin

Players to watch:Damon (Van Der Woude), definitely my other co-captain Bailey Deakin and Liv Atkins,” Kelly said.

“Damon’s played in the Filipino Mixed World Cup championships and they beat New Zealand which was pretty unknown.”

Co-captains: Matt Moore and Tess Notley

Player to watch: “Jackson Streader, he’s from Brisbane he’s coming down to play like he did last year,” Moore said.

“He’s a real good diver, I think that’s a big one you want in mixed, you want diving players so he’s a big one I reckon.”

Co-captains: Ben Moore and Chloe Pallisier

Players to watch:Chloe Pallisier and Brock Sankey - he’s very good, he’s from Dalby, he’s very agile and a good defender,” Moore said.

“We got Ronan and Hayden Delaney they are brothers so they’ll be good and then we got the three Kowitz girls (Ava, Bailey and Ella) they’ll be good as well.”

Swish Elite team

Co-captains: Tom Quinlivan and Lily Singh

Player to watch:Lachie Pierce … he is one of the best players in the world over the years,” Quinlivan said.

Co-captains: Harriett Berry and Jackson Walker

Player to watch: Carla Nobbs was a pivotal player for the Knicks in last year’s competition, guiding her side to a grand final appearance - where she was named female player of the final.

Captain: Peter Sykes

Players to watch:Andrew Ryan and Mark Ashley will be some guys to watch from the guys and Amy Gibbs who is pretty handy,” Sykes said.

Captain: Kellie Ryan

Players to watch: “Josh Waters, he’s pretty speedy so he will be one to watch and Craig Neilan is another bloke who has just come from the World Cups so he’ll be one to watch,” Ryan said.

“In the girls I think Jodie May is always a great rucker and she’ll be one to watch as well.”

Captain: Stacey Hancock

Players to watch:Troy Morgan being the experienced player that he is and then we got a couple of pick-ups like Craig Hubbard and Campbell Macintosh who are nice and fast,” Hancock said.

Floorworld Masters team

Captain: Scott Pierce

Player to watch: Scott Notley is an Australian and Queensland touch football legend who brings unrivalled experience competing at the top level of the game.
