FOOTBALL: USQ FC have a near perfect record this season.

They've won 10 of their 12 games with draws against Gatton and Willowburn the only points they have dropped to date.

They have a 12-point lead over nearest TFL Premier Men's opponents Gatton and will head into tomorrow's President's Cup as the neutral fans' favourite.

However, USQ coach Matt Proctor and his side will take nothing for granted in their clash with Willowburn at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

"Every game in this competition is a tough one,” Proctor said.

"Every team you play deserves respect.

"It doesn't take very long to move yourself up the ladder - a few wins will do it.

"We treat every game like it's a cup final because the competition is so tight. It just so happens this Sunday is an actual cup game.”

Until their 3-2 defeat to Gatton last week Willowburn were USQ's nearest rivals but the Magpies' form is of no concern to Proctor.

"We can only focus on our game,” Proctor said.

"What we need to do to play to the best of our ability and give ourselves the best chance of winning the game.

"We can't control anything about our opposition so our focus is entirely on ourselves.”

Proctor believes that internal focus has helped strengthen the bond between his players.

"We've got a good mix of players,” he said.

"The older guys have been there and seen it all. The younger guys are eager to learn and willing to listen.

"The important thing though is everyone is on the same page.

"If you work hard at training and play well you earn your spot in the team.

"The players respect that and we only make changes if absolutely necessary.”

Four games President's Cup games will be played on Sunday with male and females players in action.

Rockville and Willowburn will kick-off proceedings at 9am with the game sure to be full of goals.

The two sides have set the benchmark this season scoring a combined total of 181 goals.

Garden City and Oakey will play in the men's conference cup at 11am followed by men's championship sides South Burnett and Willowburn at 1pm.

The main game is at 3pm.
