Roosters second rower takes out number one spot in TRL Round 12

Round 12 in Toowoomba Rugby League was full of hat-tricks and massive scores.

Here’s our look at the top male and female individual performances from the weekend and a few honourable mentions.

Honourable mentions

Jiale Litidamu (Valleys A-grade), Liam Short (Pittsworth A-grade), Foster Sese (Gatton A-grade), Aiden Suhan (Wattles Reserve), Travis Babington (Dalby Reserves), Luke Hill (Pittsworth Reserves), Emma-Lea Herridge (Brothers Women), Chontelle Orcher (Brothers Women), Braith Clark (Brothers U19s), Mitchel Clem (Valleys U19s), Malaki Woodbridge (Dalby U19s), Levi Riley (Dalby U19s) and Connor Edwards (Valleys Reserves) all scored doubles at the weekend.

10. Allan Morris (Gatton Reserves)

The rampaging second rower scored a hat-trick in Gatton’s 52-0 demolition of Goondiwindi.

9. Thomas O’Sullivan (Pittsworth A-grade)

The Danes skipper did everything he could to drag his team his team to victory but his side feel short losing 30-28 to Dalby.

The halfback, who has been a key figure all season, scored a try and kicked four conversions.

8. Thomas Hatch (Wattles A-grade)

The first of two Wattles A-grade players to feature on our list for scoring a hat-trick.

The talented hooker crossed the line three times in his side’s 78-6 win over Oakey Bears.

Hatch scored the last of his tries in the 70th minute.

7. Matthew Christensen (Wattles A-grade)

Christensen gets the seven spot ahead of teammate Hatch only because he scored his hat-trick first.

Lining up a centre he scored his third try in the 56th minute.

6. Curtly Hammond (Valleys Reserve)

The speedy fullback pounced at the weekend in Valleys’ comfortable nine tries to one win over Highfields Eagles.

Hammond scored a hat-trick with Roosters winning 46-6.

5. Brayden Paix (Wattles A-grade)

Paix had his kicking boots on in a busy day ‘off the tee’ against Oakey.

The Wattles half kicked 11 conversions and scored two tries in his side’s 78-6 win over Bears.

4. Dylan Chown (Valleys A-grade)

The Roosters winger was crowing at the weekend with his side picking up a big win over Highfields Eagles.

Chown scored a hat-trick with Valleys securing a 44-6 win.

3. Joey Sankey (Dalby U19s)

Dalby hammered Pittsworth at the weekend and Sankey was in the thick of the action.

The Diehards five-eighth scored three tries and kicked eight conversions in his side’s 68-0 demolition of the Danes.

2. Sarah Milton (Dalby Women)

The crafty halfback had her hands in everything against Oakey Bears.

Milton played a leading role expertly steering her team around the park and getting on the scoreboard.

Milton scored two tries and kicked a conversion in Dalby’s 14-10 win.

1. Kayla Jackson (Valleys Women)

Jackson has been a standout for Valleys this season and the hard running second rower was at her best in Round 12.

The Western Clydesdales aligned star was the difference in her side’s clash with Highfields Eagles.

As well as making plenty of big runs, Jackson scored a try and kicked a penalty to seal a 6-4 win for Roosters.
