Revealed: We name our top 15 performances from round 1 of the TCI two-day season
After a month off, players returned to the crease for the first round of the Toowoomba cricket two-day season and there were some stellar performances with bat and ball. Check out our top 15 individual performers ranked from A-grade, Reserve grade and B-grade here.

The Toowoomba cricket two-day cricket season kicked off over the last two weeks and there were some stellar performances across A-grade, Reserve grade and B-grade with some electric bowling spells and classy centuries.
We have run the rule over all 10 games from those grades and ranked our top 15 individual performances, check out the list below.
15. Harry Winterbottom (Souths, B-grade)
Winterbottom hit the ground running in the red-ball season, taking 5-15 off just 6.3 overs against Northern Brothers Diggers.
14. Harjinder Dhillon (Met-Easts, Reserve grade)
Dhillon started the round strongly with a solid 49 runs off 77 balls in the first innings before making a solid contribution with the ball.
He took 2-11 from overs to help the Trojans to a first-innings victory over Wests.
13. Luke Neale (Wests, A-grade)
It was another solid all-round performance from Neale as he took 5-8 across two innings with the ball and scored an impressive 68 runs in his one innings with the bat.
12. Luke Guymer (Northern Brothers Diggers, Reserve grade)
Guymer was the star of the show in Northern Brothers’ impressive win over Highfields.
The all-rounder took 4-23 off 12 overs in the first innings and then backed it up with a handy 28 runs in the second innings as opener.
However, he was not done yet as he bowled another 12 overs in the third innings and took 2-14, before helping his side chase down the total in the final innings.
11. Lincon Paroz (Uni, B-grade)
Paroz was another to impress with bat and ball as he took 2-21 and scored 53 not-out.
10. Ben Brocherie (Met-Easts, A-grade)
While it was a difficult game with the bat for the Met-Easts opener, Brocherie stepped up with the ball taking 7-49 across two innings including a five-wicket haul in one of them.
9. Hayden Campbell (Met-Easts, A-grade)
Campbell picked up where he left off from in the one-day season and was destructive with the ball once again as he claimed a five-wicket-haul in the second innings and picked up a sixth scalp for the match in the fourth innings.
He also chipped in with a handy 29 runs in his only stint with the bat.
8. Stuart Keene (Souths, Reserve grade)
Keene was at his scintillating best with bat and ball, taking 3-9 and scoring 60 runs off 86 balls in his side’s big win over University.
7. Kris Glass (Northern Brothers Diggers, A-grade)
After a disappointing first innings where he only managed four runs, Glass made up for it in his second stint as he scored an impressive 85 runs in the third innings of the contest.
6. Ruvith Karunarathne (Souths, A-grade)
Karunarathne’s superb summer continued as he put the Met-Easts batters to the sword.
In his first bowling innings, he took a stunning 5-28 off 15.2 overs, before picking up another two wickets in his second innings.
5. Ajay Kumar (Souths, Reserve grade)
University’s batters had no answer for Kumar as he took 5-7 off nine overs in his first innings with the ball.
His spell included an impressive six maidens and he operated at an economy rate of just 0.73 runs per over.
There was no rest for the University batters in the second innings as Kumar was in the action once again, taking 2-22 from 12 overs.
4. Blake Murray (Met-Easts Gold, B-grade)
Murray put in a classy all-round performance with solid contributions across the board.
In his two innings with the bat, he scored a total of 49 runs from as many balls.
With the ball, he took 4-20 off 17 overs in the second innings and 3-16 from 10 overs in the fourth as he helped Met-Easts to a comprehensive win over Wests.
3. Todd Hamlet (Northern Brothers Diggers, B-grade)
Playing as a fill-in, Hamlet had a game he will never forget as he blasted his way to an incredible unbeaten 103 off just 75 balls.
His innings included six fours and four sixes as he hit the ball to all parts of the ground and accumulated more than 70 per cent of his team’s runs in the third innings.
2. Jacob Jeans (Northern Brothers Diggers, B-grade)
Hamlet wasn’t the only player to put in an exceptional performance for Northern Brothers in B-grade as Jacob Jeans ripped through the Magpies’ batting line up.
Jeans took 5-41 off 24 overs in his first innings with the ball, then continued that form into his second innings as he took 4-6 off seven overs.
After two magnificent innings, Jeans ended the clash with astonishing match figures of 9-47.
1. Matt Johnston (University, A-grade)
Johnston was a certainty to take top spot on our list for round 1 after his stunning performances with bat and ball.
With the bat, he put in a game-changing innings, scoring 129 runs off 124 balls in a knock which included 11 fours and six sixes.
Johnston then helped Uni take home the first-innings win with a relentless spell with the ball where he took 4-13 off 14 overs - nine of which were maidens.
